Strengthening Partnerships Ahead of the National Research Conference 2026

On Wednesday, 18th February 2026, the National President of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG), together with the Financial Controller, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Abigail Opoku Mensah, Administrator of the Ghana National Research Fund (GNRF), in anticipation of the forthcoming National Research Conference scheduled for later this year.


The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to engage in a productive and forward-looking dialogue centered on advancing research excellence and strengthening support systems for graduate researchers nationwide. Discussions focused on identifying sustainable funding pathways, enhancing capacity-building initiatives, and fostering collaborative platforms that empower young scholars to thrive in their academic pursuits.


Professor Abigail Opoku Mensah emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in driving impactful research outcomes, while the GRASAG leadership reiterated its commitment to advocating for policies and initiatives that address the evolving needs of graduate students.


The courtesy call marks a significant step toward deepening collaboration between GRASAG and the GNRF, laying a solid foundation for a successful and impactful National Research Conference.
