WHO WE ARE
Advocating for the interests of Ghanaian students both locally and internationally.
GRASAG National is a student-led, not-for-profit association with a mission to advocate for all graduate students for a safe, supportive, respectful, accessible, and inclusive community that fosters the multi-faceted roles played by graduate students. All graduate students in the various universities in Ghana are automatically members of GRASAG National, with the right to vote in elections (and run for office), and to serve on committees.
Motto: Partners in national development through research and practice.
Slogan: Graduate students, the panacea to development.
The Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) is a non-profit organization registered under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179). It was started in the year 1993 to promote, improve, and coordinate postgraduate studies and the lives of students pursuing these studies in all tertiary institutions in the country. The association also champions the cause of member institutions in fighting for their rights and privileges under the laws of Ghana or the statutes establishing the respective universities of members.
Aims & Objectives
The aim of GRASAG shall be to seek the academic, social and general welfare of its members.
The objectives of GRASAG shall be to provide a forum for members to
discuss issues of mutual interest and benefit.
Our Mission
The mission of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) is to promote and safeguard the academic, social, and general welfare of its members by providing a representative platform for dialogue on issues of mutual interest, advocating for their rights and privileges in accordance with the laws of Ghana and the statutes of member institutions, maintaining and utilizing relevant membership records, and fostering collaboration with other student associations, professional bodies, and relevant stakeholders, while pursuing any additional initiatives determined by Congress in the best interest of members.
Our Vision
GRASAG envisions a unified and strategically guided Association where all members, organs, and committees work coherently to advance the welfare and rights of graduate students. Through coordinated planning, timely implementation, and continuous progress monitoring, the Association strives to ensure focused development, effective policy direction, and sustainable growth for the benefit of its members.
